At Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, I watched humanoid demonstrations and encountered robotic arms and interactive exhibits at close range. The museum's official visitor information lists AI Pioneers as a space about AI history, robots and smart systems.
For some visitors, especially children, an exhibition may be a first direct encounter with these machines. That possibility matters: learning to approach, understand and question a robot is different from seeing a short clip online. This visit did not measure learning outcomes or future adoption.
A performance can show movement. A display can communicate a possibility. An interactive exhibit can build familiarity. None of those observations by itself establishes sustained commercial deployment: reliability, usefulness, economics and continued operation still need evidence.

Inside Shanghai Science & Technology Museum, the AI Pioneers exhibition brings humanoid robots, robotic arms, interactive systems and the history of intelligent machines into a public-facing environment. I watched humanoids move, perform and interact only a few meters away. For many visitors, especially children, this may be their first direct encounter with Physical AI. That matters. Physical AI will not scale through better hardware and models alone. It will also depend on how people learn to see, understand, question and eventually work alongside intelligent machines.
