I came to see robots, then started trying things. A robot arm worked on my back, another followed my movements to pick up an object, and a headset was presented as letting me control a toy car with my thoughts. That last experience especially caught my attention.
Around the hall were humanoids practising steps, dancing robots, a spherical patrol robot and a wheeled robot crossing a ledge. Trying a system is different from watching it: you begin to notice setup, response and the part you play in the demonstration.
My original description of the headset records the experience, not an independent test of the signal pathway. I still want to understand how the signal became a command, what other controls were available and how consistently it worked. The September 10 exhibition visit was a starting point, not evidence of independent autonomy or sustained commercial performance.
