OBSERVED
Past and future entered the same frame in Yuyuan. Traditional architecture filled the foreground, while Shanghai Tower rose behind it through the clouds. What interested me was not a contest between old and new, but the way both could occupy one view.
Shanghai seemed to layer history, culture, infrastructure and technology rather than simply replace one with another. That is my impression from this evening walk, not a technical assessment of the buildings. Tonight I was looking up; the next view would be from above.

B2AGI FIELD NOTE — Yu Garden 🇨🇳 Past and future, in one frame. In Yuyuan, centuries of Chinese architectural tradition fill the foreground. And through the clouds, Shanghai Tower rises above it. Two very different visions of a city — existing in the same physical space. Shanghai doesn’t simply replace the old with the new. It layers them together. History. Culture. Infrastructure. Technology. The future doesn’t always replace the past. Sometimes, it rises behind it. Tonight, looking up. Tomorrow, from the top. 📍 Yuyuan · Shanghai, China B2AGI — We go where intelligence becomes physical.
